chapter 9

this chapter is in now in the present. nick tries to find people to come to gatsbys funeral but no one will come. the only people there are nick jordan servants and gatsbys father. gatsbys dad take a picture of his sons house and fills nick in on all of the events of gatsbys life. he then breaks up with jordan and decides to leave west egg. Jordan is engaged to another man. he sees tom in new york and tom tells him gatsby deserved to die. he ends the book by telling us how corrupt and obscene america has gotten and it is no longer a place for dreams.
