gatsby starts by telling nick why he fell in love with daisy and why she was so important to him. she told him that she would wait until he returned from the war to be with him. the garder butts in and nick leaves. nick is late for work and is sitting in his office thinking about the past events. wilson is thinking about what happened to myrtle and says that god wants revenge he goes to find tom because he knew who owned the car and saw the car at gatsbys. he shoots gatsby and himself.
