nick starts off the chapter by getting invited to gatsbys mansion for a party which is how he is so famous around the neighborhood. nick makes the short walk over to the mansion and sees jordan. He starts hearing all these rumors about gatsby like hes a german spy and hes killed a man. nick then meets a man that says he knows him and it turns out they served together int he war. then a man introduces himself as gatsby to nick and jordan then asks jordan if he could have a word with her inside.
why does he hold these parties all the time?
