tragic hero-vader
belief in his own freedom- he makes his choices when faced with dilemmas like when he couldnt find the message from leia he used her to attract them to him
supreme pride- thinks he is the best warrior and has the best ideas like in the movie when somebody didnt agree with him he used the force to choke him.
capacity for suffering- he entirely believes in what he is doing he doesnt think that killing these people are wrong .
sense of commitment-at the end of the movie when the other fliers couldnt stop luke and them he takes matters into his own hands and goes after them himself
vigorous protest-he does what he wants and will stop anyone that gets in his way
transfiguration- at first he is a normal man but the force takes him over completely and in the wrong way he turns evil and is totally corrupt (i know this is reversed but i dont see him being "good" in any way in this movie)
impact- he is shown as the extreme evil in this movie

A hero is a person that puts there life in danger for someone else, is selfless, with no reward or no self gain.

Hero- luke- he is the main character and puts himself in danger for the good of everyone
anti hero-hansolo-he is out for money and nothing else but then comes back to help his friends
devil figure-darth vader- the evil character in the movie the one up to no good
outcast-hansolo- he is the loner just living his life day to day until luke finds him and then he is just out for money but then has a transformation and realizes he needs to come back for his friends.
double-the force-there is both a good side and a dark side
scapegoat-obi wan-sacrifices himself for the good of everyone else
temptress-the dark side-it is the thing the thing that tempts you to come to its side and will destroy you
good mother-leia- the one that provides everyone the strength to come and help

Call to adventure-when lukes home is destroyed
helper-r2 cpo and obiwan
threshold of adventure- leaves home with obi and ends up at the bar
tests- the training
helpers- hansolo chewbacca
